— Stuart City Commission · Group 5 —

A steady hand for our river city.

Eula Clarke is running to keep Stuart what we love about it — walkable streets, a working waterfront, and neighborhoods that look out for one another — while preparing for what comes next.

Eula Clarke
Candidate · Stuart City Commission, Group 5
— About Eula —

A neighbor first.
A public servant for the long haul.

Eula Clarke has spent her life rooted in Stuart — raising a family here, shopping local, sitting through every late-running budget meeting that other people would rather skip. She believes good government is mostly showing up, doing the homework, and listening longer than you talk.

On the Commission, she's worked across the dais to protect the St. Lucie River, expand workforce housing, and keep our small businesses on Main Street thriving. She is endorsed by labor, neighborhood associations, and small business owners across Martin County.

Now she's asking for your vote one more time — not because anything is finished, but because the next four years matter, and she's not done yet.

— Priorities —

What she'll fight for.

A short list, written plainly. No slogans hiding the work — just the things Eula plans to put on the agenda from day one.

01
Waterfront

Protect the St. Lucie & our working waterfront.

Cleaner water, smarter stormwater, and policies that keep boatyards, marinas, and seafood houses on the river — not edged out by luxury redevelopment.

02
Housing

Homes our teachers and tradespeople can afford.

Expand workforce and senior housing through partnerships, density done right near downtown, and protections for longtime residents from runaway property taxes.

03
Downtown

A Main Street that stays Main Street.

Support local businesses, keep Stuart walkable and unique, invest in flood resilience, and make sure new development respects historic character.

04
Public Safety

Fully fund the people who keep us safe.

Competitive pay for police and fire, mental health response that works, and traffic calming on the streets where neighbors say they need it most.

05
Budget

Spend like it's your money. Because it is.

Plain-language budgeting, transparent contracts, and a hard line against pet projects that don't deliver for the people of Stuart.

06
Parks

Greenways, riverwalks, and shade.

More tree canopy, accessible parks in every neighborhood, and continued investment in the Riverwalk so Stuart keeps the qualities that bring people here.

— Endorsements —

In her corner.

Eula does the unglamorous work — the line-item review, the late-night call, the follow-through. That's the kind of commissioner Stuart needs.
John Leighton Small Business Owner, Downtown Stuart
I've watched her stand up for working families against the well-funded and the well-connected. She's the real thing.
Joseph Cooper Community Leader, East Stuart
If you care about clean water and the future of this river, you want Eula Clarke at that table.
